Default Magic School Lunar - Action stops on battle screen - Yabause

So, a friend and I have been trying to play through Magic School Lunar for the Sega Saturn in Japanese as sort of practice for myself; However, upon entering any battle screen, after having one of the characters attack, action pretty much stops. Idle animations continue to play, for all intents and purposes the game is still running, it's just as if the game cannot continue to the next action. Furthermore, there is no music, but this isn't that important to us.

Actions continue as normal if we have all characters defend, this only occurs after attempting to attack/use magic. . .of course, this isn't really optimal for I think obvious reasons, haha.

We are using the ISO received from this site, as well as the version of Yabause linked on this site (0.9.14 64 bit). I myself have tested both ISOs (the one labeled Magic School Lunar and the one labeled Mahou Gakuen Lunar), as well as an older version of Yabause (0.9.11 32 bit). In the case of using the older version of Yabause, music plays, but the same issue occurs once I enter a battle screen. I did select a Japanese BIOS (Sega Saturn BIOS v1.00 (JAP)). Default video/audio cores.

Looking on the website for Yabause, it seems that Magic School Lunar is listed as "untested". I. . guess that can be changed now, haha!

Any suggestions are welcome. I did search this forum for both Magic School Lunar as well as Mahou Gakuen Lunar, and unfortunately didn't find anything. Thanks in advance!
