Default PSP Stuck in Update Loop

Hi people, I have a problem with one of the PSPs.
It was on 5.50 gen CFW and because newer games doesn´t worked I decided to update to 6.60.
I did this multiple times on multiple PSPs and I never had this problem.
When updating to 6.60 OFW and installation reaches 99% it go back to 84% after some time and it loops like that over and over.
So I unplug the battery and start the PSP again now I was on 6.60 OFW but it was incomplete of course so I can´t run anything,
so I did the Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick with my other PSP that is succesfully updated from the 5.50 gen-d to 6.60.PRO-B10 a long time ago and install 5.00 M33 and did the 6.60 update once again.
Of course it happened again, it is in infinite updating loop so I install 5.00 M33 again using MMS and Pandora and now tried to install 6.39 OFW and of course again in infinite updating loop.
So I don´t know what to do anymore.
    Can anyone help me ?
BTW it is PSP-1003 and it has a stucked UMD drive so it doesn´t doing anything, not even try to load, it doesn´t making any sound, nothing.

Pandora to an official FW lets say 5.00 then normal update to 6.00 (the official offline way) before jumping up again

It may have a corrupt Nand (some of the Nand blocks would be unusable so less space there, than there should be) that is preventing the higher update from installing but doing the above is a safe way to try

Can it go as far as 6.20?

If so install CFW on that (Pandora is not needed to install 620 CFW)

After set NAND flash0 to the USB and check what space is there both what is left and the total space

flash0, contains system firmware – 24MB (PSP-1000) < that is the one to look at
    flash1, contains system settings – 8MB (PSP-1000)

flash2 and 3 are not used

P.S. you do need to make sure the update is actually for the normal PSP not the Go version so you may want to re-download the 6.60 update to make sure

    1. I can´t even update it to the 6.00 so I can´t update it to 6.20
    2. I used Test M33 via Pandora to access CFW settings and I set USB Device to Flash0 and plug the PSP to the computer but it says me that I need to format it.
    What should I do ?
    3. Yes, I have the update for the normal PSP.

If it's giving you so much grief why not just get another one? If you don't care about wifi and online grab a brand new street off ebay or whatever. They're still available.
You can't use perm CFW but recovery only takes a few seconds so it isn't a big deal. I'd rather have a new console over a used one given a choice.

    Spoiler warning:

    Try a different USB cable

Obviously do not format flash0 you will brick it then, though you do have the pandora option to recover it

You can also try and set the Pandora to install 6.60 directly but if the reason it does not work is the flash0 space that will still fail it
