Default PCSX2: Startup runs fine until the PS2 logo.

So my brother recently told me I was allowed to run PCSX2 on his laptop. I downloaded the Japan bios recently and when the PS2 logo starts to appear, it starts to slow down. And when the logo appears, a bunch of white lines come up to where the logo should be.

    How do I fix this?

EDIT1: Got every bios, but still has it's glitches (except the PS2 logo)

Try the latest build - http://buildbot.orphis.net/

Also use the "fast" option to skip the bios startup and get right to the game.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

    Thanks, I'll probably use this.

Sorry for double post, but I tried Puzzle Buzzle and it ran without any problems, but when I have a game like Hit and Run, it seems to slow down. It could be the disc, but who do I know?

I would guess that the laptop in question is just not good enough for PS2 emulation

Puzzle Bobble as you might of guessed is a very basic game with no great system demand
The Simpsons - Hit and Run (I presume anyway as I know of no game called Hit and Run) Will have a much higher system demand though

Instead of making me guess though post the system specs of the laptop, there may yet be hope for you

    Mod projects - XBOX
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]
    [Quest Packs Collection]
GTA San Andreas - Hot Coffee [COMPLETE]
[Mod ready] & [Full ISO ready]
GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]
Please can all ESR users post your results here to help with the project and others wanting to use ESR

If this will help me get PS2 emulation well, then ok.

My specs of my brother's laptop is
    Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N2830 @ 2.16GHz 2.16 GHz
    4.00 GB (3.89 GB usable)
    64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor.

That's kinda low end for ps2 emulation unfortunately. You won't be able to run much at any playable speeds.

If it's Simpsons hit and run you're looking for, I have a PC version uploaded and posted around here somewhere. It's over 10 years old so PC games of that age is allowed. It's a rip though, just the fmvs are taken out but works fine.

    Edit: found it!
