International Superstar Soccer 2 - L2/R2 buttons issue

Hello everybody, I'm trying to emulate this amazing game on my pc. So far I managed to run it with psxfin 1.12 and EmuCR-Pcsxr-r72232. I tried 3 versions of the game but with all of those I cannot let buttons L2 and R2 to work.

I tried setting both keyboard and gamepad but nothing... any idea? I really need my shimmy trick to rule the world

What pad are you using??

A keyboard will only let you press so many keys at once 3 I think it is before it will just not respond on any extra ones pressed beyond the limit

thanks for the reply. I think I should be within the 3 buttons limit. I need to press directional arrow, then keeping pressed R2 pressing 90° direction arrow.

By the way, pad is http://www.ciao.it/Kraun_HI_GRIP_VIBE__695041 but I'm a bit confused right now. I cannot find in a iis pro evolution 2 manuals online of my favourite trick still CPU always does that to me. Possibly this trick was introduced in a later game version...

I don't know that pad but if it is set to 360 mode or works much like a 360 pad the L2 and R2 triggers can not be used together but you can always swap the config so L1 and R1 act as R2 and L2 and R2 and L2 becomes R1 and L1

The second guide has a controls sections this is a moves section when I looked but no mention of R2+L2 in the moves list

Controls

As I said,this is a simulation,so it's logical that controls are a bit more
complex.Here they are:

Offence:
D-pad,Analog-move player
X-pass the ball
O-pass a high ball
Triangle-pass the ball into space in front of a player
Square-shoot the ball on the goal(pace of the ball depends on how long you
hold the button)
R1-dash,player runs faster
L1-bicycle dribbling
L1+X-double pass
L1+O-double pass with a high ball
L1+Triangle-pass the ball into space with a high ball
L1+Square-lob the goalkeeper
Square+X-fake shot
Square+Triangle-cancel shot

There is also one other move you can do when attacking.When you pass the ball
to a player,you automatically control him,right?Well,just before the ball
reaches him,you can press R1.That way,he will let the ball go between his legs
going to the player behind him.This is a cunning trick,and it often fools the
opponent's defence,giving you a chance to score.It is best that you train this
in the Training mode until you can do it perfectly.

Defence:
D-pad,Analog-move player
X-one player tries to steal the ball from the opponent
O-tackle,kick the ball if you have it in possesion
Square-kick the ball if you have it in possesion
R1-dash
L1-switch the player you control

Offence,Defence:
Start-pause menu

When you pause the game,you're given some options:

Resume match-you guess what this means,right?

Formation-two options:
Formation setting-there's a special chapter about this
Formation Data manager-if you already have a formation set,you
can load it here,or save a new one

Camera type-you can set the view on the pitch(in my opinion,Broadcast is the
best choice)

Screen setting-turn ON/OFF player names,radar,strategy icons time,result

Game speed-this is individual:if you like to dribble,choose a slower game,or,
if you just like fast running,max out the yellow line

Sound setting-a few useful options here:change the volume,turn the commentator
ON/OFF,or even change the language of the commentator(it's sooo
fun to listen him talk in German

Quit game-this too,you should understand

I think you may be correct in thinking that was a move added to later versions of PES
