    Default Melty Blood

Can someone help me to get this game online?

The game itself is installed, I can play the game just fine. I downloaded mbcaster-071226, and as the read me file says, I took the contents of the exe folder, and placed them in the directory of where MBAC was installed. Rather, where the game's .exe file was. So as the read me file says, I launch MBCaster, I choose option 9, and it says I'm supposed to get the character select screen, which I don't.

Here's the exact contents of MBCaster: http://www.mediafire.com/?tjmbcdtgmjm

And here's what the read me file says....

The author of MBCaster is in no way related to the original author of Caster.

Make sure you have the latest version (1.03a as of now).
If you are going to use keyboard, set inputDevice to 255 in caster_config.ini.
(A charInit() error is almost always related to this)
If you are getting TIMEOUT ( Away ) errors, try using option 6 (Try access ( Tough )) to connect.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO USING MBCASTER:

    1 - Update MBAC to 1.03a.
2 - Copy the contents of the exe folder in the MBCaster .rar
to THE EXACT SAME FOLDER THAT mbacPC.exe IS CONTAINED IN.
3 - Configure your input in the initial MBAC config menu.
If you are using keyboard, edit config_caster.ini appropiately.
(set inputDevice to 255, and edit the keys to your liking)
    4 - Run mbcaster.exe, select option 9: Debug.
This should bring you to the character select
screen. If it does not, there is a 99% chance that you
    are doing something wrong.
(GameGuard will prevent it from working, for example.)
5 - You're good to go! Option 1 will host,
2 will let you connect to someone hosting.
    Some help, please?

    You mean from here: http://www.meltybread.com/netplay/

    The latest version: mbcaster-beta-070912b.rar

    I'll try...

Edit: I tried with that one also, and it does nothing after I choose option 9.

Get this patch: http://e56.info/mbacwin/mbacwin.cgi?patch103A and apply to mbacPC (the actual game, not the mbcaster application).

Double click on the Setup.exe, let it do it's thing, then paste the two items in the File folder, and replace the ones in the install directory. Am I right?

Yeah, the patch updates your actual game. If it still doesn't work, let us know if it displays an error (and what the error is) in the command prompt box.

Also, have you forwarded port UDP 7500 like Ray said in the hangout yet?

Oh, and if you already have mbcaster in the same folder as the actual game, then you don't need to replace it.

Ah, it worked. The patch + replacing the two files made the character select screen pop up after choosing option 9 in MBCaster. Thanks a lot Tanthias. +rep

By the way, is there an English pack for the game?
