    Default PC Hangout

    There's a General Gaming Discussion, so why not General PC discussion? Hardware and Software. Need a quick answer on what app to use to record your games? Ask here. Need to know whether to go ATi or nVidia? Ask here. Posting news on the latest tech? Here you go as well. (NOTE: Not saying you can't make a thread, in fact that's encouraged, but if you hust want a quick answer and don't feel like making a thread or just want post a quick link, here's the place to do it!)

    You get the idea, GO GO GO!

    Ok nvm I'll start

    ---

    So, 9600GT got launched to today.

    http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/articl...50aHVzaWFzdA==

    Nice power draw and temps, but being only a 600 card and not a 800, it only has 64 pipelines. So gaming wise it's below my 8800GTS :O

    DISCUSS HARDWAREZ AND SOFTWAREZ NAO!

    EDIT - I decided to call it the PC hangout

    They're good, really.

    Now that you can boot XP or Vista.

    Stands up fairly well. I mean, my sister's old Mac ('bout ten years old or so) was on virtually 24/7 for months, even during summer. And nother ever overheated or never had any hardware issues. She never even had to restart. Meanwhile, my PC, which is well ventilated, had a burned video card, along with a few hardware issues.

    As long as on your mac you keep an Xp partition, there is still hope for you.

    Hardware is pretty much the same. But this guy seems to know a few things: http://chris.pirillo.com/2008/02/02/mac-vs-pc-again/

    Well it's been that way. Did mac hurt your feelings or something? You're just as passionate about hating it as the apple humpers over at the mac forums need Steve Jobs's soiled briefs.

    10 year old PC right here.

    Still works fine, and is on 24/7.
