Just watched both of The Thing movies recently. Never saw the newer prequel, but it was surprisingly good. I've always loved John Carpenter's The Thing though, especially the monster designs. So I decided to draw my own rendition of the monster.

Got replacement cups in the mail since USPS were nerds and broke one of them.

    Free of charge, too.

I loved the original movie when I was a kid. I mean "The Thing From Another World" (1951).
It truly is a great classic of that time.

The 2011 movie does tie in with the 80's flick really well. I wasn't expecting it to be that good.

You were alive in 1951 to watch it?

Im not much of a horror fan but John Carpenters The Thing was freakin awesome, the Game Sequel wasn't bad either.

Truthfully I never have seen the 1951 movie. I really should, just to see how it is. Of course it's all based on a book, or a short story or something. Which might be worth looking into as well.

The monster always reminded me of a Lovecraftian creature almost. Probably all the tentacles. Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised with the 2011 prequel. They really went into explaining some of the details from John Carpenter's movie. Like the two-faced corpse, as well as how the thing escaped in the body of that husky.

I haven't seen the prequel. Definitely will check it out.
