Father's day and Mother's day are just corporate holidays anyway. It's all a scheme!

Pasta is simple and easy. I don't actually enjoy it too much, but when I can make a filling meal for like... $3, I'm a happy camper.

And yeah... I'm not having another kid with her. That just seems like a recipe for disaster.
Did... did they do this after they had already split up?

*tries unplugging and replugging wireless adapter again*

If that doesn't work, I give up on trying to get the desktop back online for now.

It's nice getting something from your kid, though. Besides, if some of these corporate holidays didn't exist (Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, etc), some people wouldn't ever acknowledge certain people in their lives.
My son made me a gift at daycare.
It's a paper fish with glitter on it.

Yeah, that's pretty much the only reason I ever eat pasta, too. And since I'm used to being a poor kid, I'm kind of permanently sick of pasta.

Of course not, my sister and I are about four and a half years apart, and my parents separated when I was around seven or so.

Yeah, we had a lot of pasta growing up. Not because we were "poor," per se, just because my parents were frugal.
And I'm actually relieved by that statement. I don't know why, but for some reason it just... totally seemed plausible.

Well, I ended up with a ton of step- family members and a bunch of half-siblings that I generally loathe instead, with the exception of my half-brother.

Yeah, that's totally not much better. Also, we're like... twelve posts overdue now for a new Hang Out.

Such an odd coincidence. I happen to like all my step and half family members.

    Aside from my half brother.

Let's just say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Let's just keep this one going to 5K.

    I'm in favor of that.

Plus 5000 is a much cooler number than 4000.

    Or 4015.

    Sad and true.

I was thinking about it, but then nothing clever came to mind.

It'd be so much easier if fathers day/mothers day actually had consistent international dates. I'd like that.

I would, but I don't have enough associations with the man.
