Of course it is, it was probably the best bit of the whole film.

Saw Captain America yesterday. Kinda neat that they had what I figure is a Cosmic Cube other than that very predictable having the Red Skull as a villain and all the rest.
I mean why don't these guys really up the ante and have someone big as a villain like Thanos or something. Another half-assed comicbook movie

Well you know since all the heroes are beating their usual villains The Avengers better contain an amazing villain.. perhaps Galactus would be a suitable villain? You know something so extreme that it would surely be the death of the Avengers... then they can pull a victory out of their asses last minute.

Galactus would probably be pretty boring as a movie villain. And...errr.... you might have to tie it in with that F4 movie that most people aren't especially fond of. They have revealed Loki as being involved, but I don't exactly see them making him the primary and sole villain. And then there was that brief period where they were waltzing out that infinity gauntlet they made. I'd say Thanos seems a safe bet at this point. At the very least, it's a possible sequel idea.

I hope in all honesty that it just doesn't flop like a few of the more recent incarnations of comic book heroes...
Because that will just wreck years of hard work making this awesome lead up to the worst movie of them all lol.
Maybe they can get the Crime Syndicate Of America! hahaahhahaha... now that would be a hilarious movie!! =D

Is it really a spoiler if it's the sort of thing you'd find on the back of the box?

I think now. Because, hey, it's basic plot point.

Also it's the second scene of the film, it's not the ending.

The Avengers have their own good villains like Kang/Immortus, Loki, Ultron or even Zemo and the Masters of Evil to need Galactus or Thanos which aren't Avengers villains..

Thanos? That's perfect if you don't want sequels to be made, it's hard to believe Cap surviving to such a menace on his own

I watched Green Lantern tonight, the opening night in Australia, and it was... alright.

Here's my own little review on it...

    Spoiler warning:
I personally, was very skeptical of Ryan Reynolds playing the role of the Green Lantern, and even after seeing it, there were parts I cringed and felt uncomfortable and not just over his poor acting abilities. Overall the movie was well done graphics wise, and i'm sure it would make a good wholesome family comedy. But it's supposed to be a hero movie... Not the steaming pile of comedic shit that Ryan Reynolds brought to the role. He's a comedian, and he's stepped out of his league with this one.

The final battle.. was a disappointment. Paralax died in what felt like a 30 second battle and didn't really put up much of a fight and Hal Jordan's transition from afraid human to awesome fearless Green Lantern was pitiful to say the least, in fact it was summed up in an overly cheesy scene where Blake Lively says some really not so deep crap about courage and he's ready to be a hero again.
Sinestro's role in the summoning of Paralax was completely wrong, and Blake Lively's mannequin like acting made it all feel... So, like a badly written Top Gun reincarnation I could've done it better with hand puppets. In fact in the dog fight skirmish at the start of the movie, I could've sworn I walked into the wrong cinema...

But in saying this there was a lot of great moments, in it as well, with Hal's training sessions on Oa and his first experience's with the ring and him saying the famous Green Lantern oath(bad facial expressions in this scene)... But I think really I mostly loved the movie because I am a long time fan of Green Lantern and the little kid inside me exploded with joy that they made an incarnation of it.

If I had to give it a rating, the rating would be 2 and a half out of 5 stars. It was mediocre and the way I see it, movie studios are just going more downhill with every comic/movie crossover they come up with... I really hope that the Avengers doesn't disappoint as much as this one did...

Sorry buddy, I actually didn't know how to use Spoiler tags but I shall keep that in mind for future reference... I apologize.
In fact I used some above... to make up for my earlier failure >.<
