Default Issues with text displaying [ePSXe]

I'm using ePSXe 2.0.5 on Windows 7 (64-bit). I guess I'm not using the right plugins or something?

In some games, text isn't displayed properly. As examples, I provide screenshots from the games Panzer Front and Theme Hospital, respectively.

    Spoiler warning:

I guess I need to change something in the options and/or use another plugin(s)... But which?

The images look blurred like you have some kind of texture filtering mode on. While it helps make things look more rounded, less pixelated, it is probably what is screwing up your text.

psxdatacenter.com will have working settings of a more general sort but I doubt they will know exactly what you set to have the games look like that.

I just reset my video settings to match these:

since I use that plugin too. It solved the problem with text in Panzer Front, but the text in Theme Hospital is still messy. I guess you need to set the plugin differently for certain games.

Turning the texture filtering to 1 or 0 should clear that up. The settings at the datacenter are "working" meaning that your game will function with those settings, but it doesn't guarantee that the game will be pretty, legible, or run well on a low-end pc.

It did help. The sprites are more blocky now, and that glitch with the man on the bench (with only his shoes and hat seen) remained, but never mind.
