And yeah lots of shitty protections. But what the hell, small price to pay to experience the greatness of Bioshock.

    Getting the collector's edition?
Indeed... I want that Big daddy figurine...

I have seen videos and reviews of the game and all I can say is... damn... I want it

I don't know why I randomly decided to do that, but it was fun.
James Bond would have fired a heatseeking missle into the car.

Yeah I had to get the collector's edition. The Big Daddy figure is pretty awesome and damn heavy.

The game runs great on my PC. Little disappointed though because I can't enable the high detail shader feature. So no shiny surfaces or distortion effects. Seems to be some problem on specific systems with nvidia cards. Hopefully 2k Games will patch this. I'll restart the game as soon as they do.

Good to know this.... I will have to see if my card has problems with the game.

Sprung, you should try the game out. The story as far as I have learned is awesome, like a movie. It has an excellent narrative element as far I have been told.

From RL friends and online reviews, that is.

No shiny surfaces or distortion effects, even though it's minimum SM3? O_o; Both of those effects you can create with 1.1 shaders.
I've been hearing lots of problems with the PC version. Common ones are huge issues in installing the game because securom servers are down, and sound fucking up.

From the looks of it you should add general game discussion in the thread title.

True, the story and how it's presented is excellent.

That's the way it is. If I enable high detail shaders the game will keep crashing at certain locations. I'm not the only one with this problem, thankfully. It kinda sucks playing with those shader effects off. The game is so much darker than it's supposed to be.

Anyway. It's decided, in June next year my mother's giving me £70. That's going toward my new graphics card.

In the mean time, I'm adding fans and saving for a laptop.

    Yes, yes it will...

No, it will probably burn your video card out. Get an AMD 2600HD or an Nvidia 8600 GT.
