I watched the bink videos that came with the demo (because I couldn't actually play it :'( ), there was some video that showed a fight with a big daddy from the player's view. At one point the big daddy knocks him down and tries to drill him, and the player blocks the drill with his hand and it goes right through his palm, it was awesome. Later on he gets drill through the chest from behind, too. :OBig Daddy is coming to get you!

There's been a pretty big controversy over the securom antipiracy included with Bioshock. Apparently their european verification server was down for two days or so and just recently got back up, so a LOT of people bought Bioshock and couldn't play it. It also phones home whenever you install or uninstall, and you only get two "installation slots", as an attempt to prevent one person from buying a copy and giving it to all his friends, but those slots are recorded by Securom, so if you uninstall without internet access, your installation corrupts, your computer fucks up, or something along those lines the slot isn't freed up, which can effectively make your game useless, forcing you to get a new copy.
