Drove 6 hours down here, then we checked into our room. We were supposed to have a mountain view, as well as a balcony view of the river. Instead, we had a view of the parking lot ans were next to the pump for the pool.

A little visit to the office took care of that. I can see the mountains from the front, and the balcony is pretty cool.

We went up to the top of the Smokey Mountain National Park today. The elevation was 5000+ feet, and 33 miles for the drive up. It was 96 degrees at the base of the mountain, and 76 degrees at the top. We grabbed all the brocures for all the local attractions, and we have to figure out what we are going to go see, and all that.

The free wireless internet is ok. I'm glad they didn't claim high speed.
