I think my DVD-RW is set as master, and I had the hard drive as master. I forgot about the DVD-RW's jumper settings, I also didn't have them both on teh same cable in the primary slot.

Just use an ide cable to connect the Xbox hdd to your pc. Make sure you have power going to the Xbox hdd, you can use a pc connection or the Xbox connection, it doesn't matter.

Ah, ok. Same procedure. You wont need to unlock it though as it's not an Xbox hdd.
