Pokemon Green

I found a ROM, and it works, but I cannot get the emulators to work for the system. I did get one, but it runs a DOS box, then enlarges to take over the entire screen, which I do not want, I want one similar to Visualboyadvance, that kind of screen setup. Can anyone help me? And is there an English patch for this game?
