Taken on a individual basis, yes, that's correct. I don't believe what a Catholic believes. For better or for worse, that's religion.

honestly though, people in the olden days were pretty stupid if you ask me... drowning girls if their noses were big because they thought they were witches... killing them if they were smart.. how is the bible any different? how can something so fairy-tail ish be real if it was strongly believed by ignorance in the past? there's no proof what so ever.

Would God do the same things as the worldly? I dont think so. God's ways are higher than our ways. When God made the earth it was Good. Man disobeys God in so many ways without knowing, but i think God gives grace, mercy and all kinds of good things if you truely desire the truth of God's word. You can be as close to God as you want to be. Draw near to God and God will draw near to you.

As for the fairytale thing, talking snakes, worldwide floods that manage to leave no trace, millions of people wandering the desert for decades and leaving no evidence. I think that's fairly close to a fairytale.
