Default Chrono Cross slow down problem

Hiya, i'm new at the forum and i wanted to introduce myself in an introduction thread, but i couldn't find one (i didn't look too deep though)
I have some experience with more unpopular forums, though i'm not a forum person, but i decided to register and try to post often because i felt like a parasite, downloading isos and roms and not doing anything ^^U

Well, enough introduction, here's the problem:

I've downloaded Chrono Cross disc 1 and 2 from this site and tried it in ePSXe v1.60 and it didn't work, so i downloaded the 1.5.2 version and it worked fine. It goes at 60 FPS until I open the menu, where the FPS go down to 20, the same happens when I enter a battle (not in the battle itself, but in the intro)
So I searched the forum for this problem and the only thing i found was the "CC not working with ePSXe v160 problem" (thousands of times, btw )
And as i really want to play this awesome game without any problems, i decided to ask..
I've tried both v160 and v152 and both have the same problem. I also tried changing from Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8 plugin to P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.17 and it's still the same.
    My plugin configuration is:

    Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8
    Author: Pete Bernert
    Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
    GFX card: GeForce FX 5200/AGP/SSE2/3DNOW!

    Resolution/Color:
    - 640x480 Window mode
    - Internal X resolution: 1
    - Internal Y resolution: 1
    - Keep psx aspect ratio: off
    - No render-to-texture: on

    - Filtering: 0
    - Hi-Res textures: 0
    - TexWin pixel shader: off
    - VRam size: 0 MBytes

    Framerate:
    - FPS limitation: on
    - Frame skipping: off
    - FPS limit: Auto

    Compatibility:
    - Offscreen drawing: 2
    - Framebuffer effects: 3
    - Framebuffer uploads: 1

    Misc:
    - Scanlines: off
    - Mdec filter: on
    - Screen filtering: on
    - Shader effects: 0/1
    - Flicker-fix border size: 0
    - GF4/XP crash fix: off
    - Game fixes: on [00001002]

And my pc properties are: windows xp professional, service pack 2, AMD Sempron processor 2500+, 1,4Ghz and 512Mb of RAM

Sorry if it's much trouble ^^U

    Thanks in advance

In the Special game fixes, enable Odd/Even bit hack.

Don't forget to also enable the Special game fixes themselves.

I enabled it, otherwise i wouldn't be able to play in v160, right?

    I'll keep trying different configurations..

Since SegNin already answered the question, I'll just point you to the Introductions and Farewells thread that you were looking for. It's here: http://www.epforums.org/introduction.../index129.html if you want to introduce yourself in more detail. And welcome to the EP forums .

Try ePSXe 1.5.2 with either the D3D or OpenGL plugin with Odd/even bit hack enabled.

And you did remember to check both the Odd/even bit hack and Special Game fixes?
