i live in los angeles and if you think about it the most outside of japan should be here since its the closest big city to japan
I live in Canada, believe it or not. I just have a lot of friends who are into that kinda stuff.
By the way, isn't this a little offtopic?
i understand how you feel about DBZ, Jin-Roh is good and you should also try the Eat Man series its awsome.
Rouroni Kenshin is awesome.
The OAVs bring tears to my eyes.
The TV series is silly, but really really good.
I just finished Final Fantasy Unlimited..that was pretty good...
Cowboy Bebop will always remain my favorite anime ever. If there was ever an anime that could make me cry, it's this one. Character development is beautiful, the animation is really nice, and the storyline is GREAT. Not to mention that it has, beyond a doubt, the best anime soundtrack EVER! Yoko Kanno is the amazing composer behind the great Jazz score.
Side note: Yoko Kanno is doing the soundtrack to the new GITS TV series. WOO!!! Go Masamune Shirow~!
Trigun is also another great series.
Oh, and if you have a perverted mind and you laugh at perverted jokes, check out Goldenboy. SO FUNNY!

LOL I'm afraid I live in England, but I really do want to live in Japan when I'm older. Most of the best animes don't come out in the UK so I learn about most of them over the internet. Example - Cowboy Bebop STILL hasn't come out over here, on TV, video, DVD or anything. But that still didn't stop from getting all the episodes mind you ?![]()
I'm actually on the third disk of the second season of Ranma 1/2. Its some pretty entertaining stuff, though not the best anime I've seen. It's all good.
My Anime collection.
Ranma Season 1 Box Set
Ranma Season 2 Box Set
Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight Box Set
Neon Genesis Evengelion Box Set
Blue Seed Box set
Escaflowne the Movie
Vampire HunterBloodlust
Armitage: Dual Matrix
Revolutionary Girl Utena the Movie
Gatchaman Collection
Akira
Golden Boy eps 1-6 on my HD
Anime is hardly shown on the basic channels nowadays. The only regular place for anime is the Sci-Fi channel (Saiko Exciting rocks!!!I recorded pat labour and Akira of BBC and Tank Police got it in a magazine. Pretty good eh?) There is a small cinema near me, its called the Phoenix, and they show animes on the big screen every now and then. I went to see Metropolis anime there and last Sunday saw Akira the remastered version on the big screen

It's a part of a series that isn't broadcast on TV.
You'll be able to tell the Kenshin OAVs because the animation is far more detailed and serious than the TV series. That and if you're going to be getting the DVDs, ADV released them and distastefully renamed them "Samurai X."
