I live in Canada, believe it or not. I just have a lot of friends who are into that kinda stuff.

By the way, isn't this a little offtopic?

    Rouroni Kenshin is awesome.
The OAVs bring tears to my eyes.
The TV series is silly, but really really good.
I just finished Final Fantasy Unlimited..that was pretty good...
Cowboy Bebop will always remain my favorite anime ever. If there was ever an anime that could make me cry, it's this one. Character development is beautiful, the animation is really nice, and the storyline is GREAT. Not to mention that it has, beyond a doubt, the best anime soundtrack EVER! Yoko Kanno is the amazing composer behind the great Jazz score.
Side note: Yoko Kanno is doing the soundtrack to the new GITS TV series. WOO!!! Go Masamune Shirow~!
Trigun is also another great series.
Oh, and if you have a perverted mind and you laugh at perverted jokes, check out Goldenboy. SO FUNNY!

Anime is hardly shown on the basic channels nowadays. The only regular place for anime is the Sci-Fi channel (Saiko Exciting rocks!!! ) There is a small cinema near me, its called the Phoenix, and they show animes on the big screen every now and then. I went to see Metropolis anime there and last Sunday saw Akira the remastered version on the big screen

By the way, what does OAV mean?
Increase the size of your wang - PM crusher the words "poo poo" for extra length now!

They showed Metropolis at a couple places here in Tucson as well. Unfortunatly I missed it. Too busy with work and all. I think I'll check the DVD out eventually.

I think it's something like "Only Available on Video"
It's a part of a series that isn't broadcast on TV.
You'll be able to tell the Kenshin OAVs because the animation is far more detailed and serious than the TV series. That and if you're going to be getting the DVDs, ADV released them and distastefully renamed them "Samurai X."
