I was going to get the Vostro 1000, with an Athlon 64 X2, 1GB RAM, ATI Radeon® Xpress 1150 256MB, 15.4 screen...$549 + free shipping.

Their Inspiron laptops suck. And, to get one up to spec to where it doesn't suck will cost at least $100 more than the Vostro.
