also, i dont like how epsxe does things...

how it basically lets you change stuff before you start playing, but then you have to press esc, and redo your settings to change anything...

i also hate the default controller setup...

cause i use the keyboard... and the setup is i assume for an actual controller...

look at the Graphics Plugin section, it's named P.E.Op.S GPU 1.17.

If you burn your cd as a data disc with the image file you'll be able to run it, just browse to your cd driver when you hit run iso in epsxe, but as I said it will be slower than playing it off your hdd since it has to read the disc.

That's because it has to reload the file in order to change the settings.

You may want to suck it up and buy a cheap controller for 15 bucks at Walmart.
Games really are much more enjoyable(and easier to control) with a controller than without anyway.

Ivolt. You should get a DVD-RW drive. And burn the games on that. It'll be more worth while and more 'efficient' than using CDR's. I only use CDR's for playing games on consoles.

I get your point. I only play my original games on my consoles, but seeing as the whole point of me modding a gamecube is so that I can play backups, and CD's won't be cutting it for that, I'll have to get a DVD-RW drive anyway.

Yeah. It'll be worth while. DVD's are so much bigger than CD-R's.
You could get a 50pack of CDR's, but you'll probably only fit one game on each disc. Where as with a DVD-R you'll probably get 6-8 games on the disc.

I'm using CD-RW right now, but from what I'm assuming, I should use CD-R/DVD-R when playing on consoles?

Yeah. Most consoles won't read RW's without being tweaked in some way.
