Well I got a new cd and I tried it and it got stuck again at 65% so I knew it cant be the disk, so this time I tried reinstalling it from dos, and now everything is back to normal, except for one thing....the sound!, there is still no audio for some reason

    and to answer your questions

    1. Kinda after it froze i hit the powerbar and when I turned my computer on it told me Windows did not fully install...etc

2.I was able to move my mouse and everything when it froze, but I wasnt able to escape

3.No it goes a pretty good speed, Ill say 20-30mins at most

Well now I dont have the windows problem but I do have an audio problem its not working, I dont have that little icon of the speaker in the bottom right hand corner of mah screen, I need a driver or somethin to make it work, so can you guys please help me find one, and if you need to kno what my sound card is can you tell me a way I can find out

ok m8, im glad that my suggestion worked! just tell me exact type of your mainboard, and i'll tell you how to install sound drivers.

If you had the sound working fine in the original Windows 98 install, then it should work fine in this one .. I see no reason why not.

By mainboard he means what manufacturer made the actual motherboard (the large circuit board that all the wires and video card/sound cards are connected to), and what model number it is. This is assuming you or someone else (like a family or friend, or a local pc store) built the computer from scratch.

If you bought the computer from a retail store (ie. Best Buy or Circuit City) then you only need to tell us what company made the computer, and what model number it is.
