Making a topic for this isn't worth it, so I'm posting it here instead.
I've been kind of thinking about this for quite a while now, but a few minutes ago, I decided about leaving EP, at least for a while. Lots of things have changed on the forums the last months, and in my opinion -- for the worse. Of course, I'm sure I've played a part in that myself, but there are others as well. To be quite honest, it's been ticking me off that this doesn't seem to be a games/emulation community anymore, but a small 4-chan clone, or something like that. Things like

Contributing to communities like EP takes a lot of time and hard work, and it really saddens me when all those hours, as for EP, I believe I've been here two years, are just washed away by someone who thinks it's all about being "a token member". This doesn't only apply to the person that posted what I quoted above, I'm sure its just me being oversensitive to this kind of stuff, but so be it. I love contributing to communities - uploads, helping people out, things like that. Let me also mention that the forums, as they are now, is a pure nightmare for people who are asking about things they've not got experience with. Shouting at newbies/beginners seems to be really "in" these days, and that kind of ticks me off too. I bet it's just me having a bad temper.
I'm not very good at writing or talking - especially not in English, and I'm sure you'll be able to pick apart this post in all kinds of ways, but that does not really bother me. I'm not really trying to insult anyone either, although it might look like it. So, I'm kind of tired. Bye for now.

What i ment was that people try to be cool when they enter a forum, sorry but that just doesnt work, no matter HOW MUCH people wanna deny it, a forum is like a lion pack, you have the alpha members and you have the new members and when a new member trys to come bursting around trying to be cool and shit, said member normaly gets fucked up in some way, a lion would kill the little fucker.
And if ANYONE says this is not true or what not, give me a break, i see it ALL the time in WoW, its even on some guild applications "Are you out going?" there is always "token members" no matter where you go, happens on the internet and in real life (Office politics, even when a new person comes into your group of friends)
