    True. That's where it really shined. But a lot of the Japanese games are playable without the cartridges.

    Figure it up: (back in the day prices)

    Capcom game - $30 ish
    RAM Cart - probably $70
    Cheat Device - $20 ish

    all to play a fighting game?

    Think of the sega memcard as like an xbox memcard.
