Default Democrats chance in '08, slipping?

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070709/...1cqk2RTT0DW7oF

Without the anti-war movement, you gotta agree that the Democratic party isn't looking as good as it used to. But this? Anti-war now taking the Democrats head-on? Whats it mean in 2008?

What do you guys think? (Americans answer first please! I only ask because I don't know how well foreigners know the US political system).

Fuck Cindy Sheehan. Her kid's dead. That doesn't give her the right to be a cunt for the last three years.

As far as the Pelosi thing, there's nothing that can be done. Like it or not, Bush hasn't done anything worthy of impeachment.

Of course, the ImpeachBush site would say otherwise to that statement. http://www.impeachbush.org/site/News...s_iv_ctrl=1061

Religion? In these forums? If you mention religion in the slightest this would only turn into a flame war.

My ideal election is Ron Paul winning the republican nomination then fist fighting Hillary Clinton for the presidency on Pay Per View. I'm specifically registering Republican so I can vote for Paul in the primaries (I was originally planning on being Libertarian before I heard of him). :O
If Ron Paul gets the nomination the anti-war angle of the democrats is fucked, as Paul has consistently told Bush to go fuck himself on the war and the patriot act and all those things.

You... Don't have to register in a party to vote for them.

That's a pretty big if, I must say. It is highly unlikely he will get the Republican candidacy.

Not that I mind, rather. Actually, neither party is doing too well. The Republicans have been quite tarnished by the actions of Bush and their implicit consent therein, and the Democrats have not been able to mount any sort of credible opposition - to the contrary, their basis has been damaged by the time they have controlled the Congress to little apparent effect, and their inability to find a credible, experienced candidate who can appeal to the classic swing voters is likely to seriously damage their chances (Clinton is too polarizing, Obama too inexperienced, Edwards too...Edwards). The Republicans are doing little better, considering their centrist or libertarian candidates are disliked by the majority of their own party, and the rest disliked by America. It will be an...interesting decade to come.

Depends on your state and which party is running their primary at that moment. Republicans and Democrat, parsed by state.

They know as much as the media tells them I'm afraid.

I think it means that everyone is tired of the media anti-war bullshit. Well, at least I am.

Clinton has 35% of the democratic voters. Sadly enough, most of her supporters are only voting for her because she is a woman, not because she accomplished anything as a senator (note - none of supporters that were on the Sean Hannity show could not name one thing that she did as a senator). The democratic party isn't looking so good. Not that the repubs looks great either, but they are still looking alot better than the libbys IMO. Personally I like McCain, but it doesn't look as though he's going to get the repub ticket.
