However if sadam would not have been stoped (which im glad he's dead btw) he could have potentially shut off the oil supply to the usa which would have forced gas prices to sky rocket, its 3$ a gallon now and people are upset, immagin if gas was 13$ a gallon.........

this doesn't apply to puerto ricans because your all still riding around on lammas, even if they had cars there you couldn't afford them anyways the closest you'd get to a car is if you tried to wash my window with a dirty rag as i was heading to your mommas house

Money making avenue? How much money did your country lose in that war? Your deficit is approaching 9 trillion. I guess it's about time this "money avenue" shows how much it's worth. Dude just chill out. All soldiers go through the same tough ass boot camp training and are tested thoroughly before the gov't gives them a gun and a paycheck and tells them to go shoot people not wearing our uniforms. Anyone who's a wuss or too puss-ish never make it past week one of boot camp.

Also, if your talking about "REAL" Soldiers, there is no such thing. you must remember those rambo movies are only hollywood.

Opinions, unless backed by valid, sound logic and/or evidence (depending on whether we're talking theoretical statements, empirical statements or both), are inherently worthless. So either people put up the backing for their assertions, or they take the lumps that come with throwing out unsupported claims of faith.

That's how discussions work. You don't like it, don't get in them.

Depending if such "logic" is flawed and only if evidence is being used partly to defend some part of the discussion and not to see both sides of the story. Half lie, half true doesn't make it a truth. Convenience lets us pick the best parts of any argument.

I did not intend on this but it seems that my opinion got to some individuals.

I could go posting point by point, with links and the "evidence" I would need to prove why, in my opinion this war will not end soon and why do I consider it to be a waste of time. But it will stray away from the original purpose of this thread.

And when more than one person agrees with an opinion, it turns out to be a public opinion. Is this worthless, the opinion of those who compose our society, of the nations who have stated that this war is stupid? Damn...

True, the soldiers enlisted and nobody did put a gun to their head, they did it because of the benefits, promises made to them by recruiters when they visit high schools and signed in hoping for a better life since for some of them this was the only way to ensure themselves a future. They did not expect to be involved in this mess. They did not expect to aim their rifle towards a kid with his mind messed up by a fundamentalist religious society and with an AK in hand. Or a bomb strapped to his body.

And for those who talk such nonsense who say "what the hell do you know", talk to the soldiers if you know any outside of plastic figures in your home, real soldiers outside from what the media shows you and you will HEAR their discontent with this fucked up conflict. They will give you a very strong opinion of this war. They tend to call it fucking bullshit. While enjoying the little time they have with their families before they are called back into action. A real eye opener, since I have close friends who are serving in this war and have seen their friends shot down or blown up.

I heard once that the strategy used in this war came from episodes of G.I. Joe, since the US are the good guys and the good guys always win. Sarcasm in any case, some of you need this sort of comments to be pointed out.
