Almost as stupid as someone saying that you can't have an opinion on something that you aren't directly involved in, would you say? And only slightly less stupid than people who insist on doing things like "Commander in Chimp" or "Vietraq" or other buzzwords that signify that the person seems to view taking a popular opinion as important. Or cry "impeachment" without any understanding of the requirements of such a thing.

My opinion on the present Iraq insurgency is that the Coalition of the Willing, America included, will withdraw eventually, possibly before the decade is out. My opinion on the stability of Iraq is...not so optimistic. I'm worried that the present democracy will not survive the kind of Weimar polarization that has occurred in Iraq if the peacekeeping forces are withdrawn. Half of me hopes otherwise, but really, it's a bit up for grabs.

Actually, "Commander in Chimp" was kinda clever...
