Well, as I can't say anything positive about the man at this point, I'll just step aside and let everyone who liked the guy pretend that the things he did in life negate the cowardly way he opted out of it.
I was kinda shocked. The last time I accessed that page, it didn't say anything about a murder-suicide.

    Yeah.

Y'know, I can muster up about as much respect for dead celebrities as the next guy. Thing is though, that murdering his family and then turning the gun on himself seems to me to be something that hardly warrants respect at all.

Does anyone really still want to pay their respects to a cowardly murderer?

I kinda wondered what was up when he skipped the PPV last night. I figured he was sick or something.

It was nice to see Vince come out and publicly drop his stupid "death storyline" out of respect for someone who has actually died.

I didn't see anything about murder-suicide on that site either until I checked it out again... If it's true then I'd still feel sympathetic for the family, just like the family of the person that killed his mom (I don't think that I even knew that this site existed at the time this happened, or I would have posted my sympathies), or anybody else for that matter.

When I linked that story, it was the first I had heard of it. I kinda hope the newspaper got it wrong. Initially, they had said they weren't releasing any info other than they had not been shot to death...

Dallas news says it is being investigated as a homicide.

Well, whatever the case may be, it does suck for his fans to have lost him in such a brutal manner.

Yeah, it's hard to fault his family for his act of cowardice should it be determined that he was responsible for this. On the other hand, should it be, he's still a fucking dickface for depriving them from the opportunity to live their lives, just because he wasn't happy with the way his was going. They were screwed for no reason, and that's never cool.

It doesn't make much sense for a killer to go to Chris Benoit's house without a gun, unless the killer is crazy or not alone. Then agin, it doesn't make much sense to be a suicide/double homicide without using a gun either.

    Straight from wwe.com:

"It has been ruled that the deaths of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their son Daniel earlier today were the result of a double murder-suicide from within the home. WWE.com will have more as soon as it becomes available."

Unbelieveable. If the last thing I read was correct, and Benoit killed his wife and son Saturday night, and then himself last night/today, then WWE just did a 3 hour tribute to

I can't even think of a word to describe him accurately.

A bit premature to assume that he was the killer.

    Remember Phil Hartman?

    edit--
where'd you read about the wife and kid being killed a day before Benoit?

That's what I thought, but the more I read, the more it looks like he did it. I do hope I'm wrong, but it really isn't any better if she did it.

If what you say here is true, then he does look guilty.

Good to see that EP is now the place where opinions that clash with those of the higher-ups are deleted.
