Seiken Densetsu 3

Final Fantasy 3/6 (I can't believe nobody said this one yet)

Earthbound (they should've released the N64 version instead of cancelling it at 80% complete Here's hoping for a Gamecube sequel)

Chrono Cross (despite not even being close to the greatness that was Chrono Trigger)

Final Fantasy IX (I just happen to like this one a lot cuz I'm weird like that )

If you're looking for some non-traditional RPGs, Fallout 1 and 2, and Deus Ex are excellent RPGs. DX is more of a first person shooter, but it's a good RPG too.

all the final fantasy games are great. if you've ever played legend of dragoon, then it's a decent game.

#1. Chrono Trigger
some other goodies are: anything form squaresoft (except for Final Fantasy Mystic Quest-this game sucked b@lls)...Lufia 1+2 for Snes are good...Star Ocean PSX is good and I really enjoyed Valkyrie Profile for PSX. Hands down the best DC RPG is Skies of Arcadia. There are so many beautiful RPG's out there....there are too many to pick from
