You see, I would say that, except when I was living in Ireland and got a Dell, they saw fit to charge me an extra 300 euros before sending off the computer I wanted. So yeah, Dell suck.

Hmm £500 isn't going to buy you anything spectacular.
Don't go for Intel whatever you do.

Intel isn't bad if you know what you're buying. And cheaping out is not a good move to make.

    Unless you're planning to

    A.) Buy something used

    B.) Upgrade your current system

    Then yes.

    I'd get one of those.

Lol. If I could afford it.
Anyway. I'm not too sure about computers; cost and what not. I've always just done with what I could.
Maybe £700-750, to get a _decent_ computer?

I'm starting from scratch so I'll probably need a bit more cash

If I could afford it, I would probably go for it, I mean I would never need it but it would be nice, if I got a DVD burner, it'd be easier just to have a 250gb hard drive, having 1tb of space would just get too cluttered.

I'll just have to play around, I haven't really looked into this for a while

I didn't think it would cost that much before I started buying things. I've already bought the case and RAM, not far to go now!
