I thought Wild ARMs III was really good, actually. It and V are the best in the series, in my opinion. It's not really like IV in the slightest, and it bears much more resemblance to the first game. But it has a pretty interesting story, an absolute ton of stuff to do, and puzzles that are actually challenging. No hex battle system, though, unfortunately. :3
I really didn't like IV. =/ It had a shamefully awful story, easily one of the worst this generation, in my opinion. Jude and Yulie both irritated me immensely, and not a single plot 'twist' caught me even remotely off-guard. About its only redeeming feature story-wise for me was Raquel; it was nice to see a female RPG character that was so far from RPG girl stereotypes. It's a shame that the other three party members were all taken from the big book of RPG cliches.
The battle system was nice. Nice enough for me to finish it, but...eh... Even that was ruined by the fact that the battles were way too easy. If the difficulty was bumped up a few notches, it would have been enough to save the game in my eyes. Still had cool boss fights, though. (it's been a while, but I seem to remember really liking the one with the guy who could stop time and walk out of the way of your attacks)
And yeah, if you liked Wild ARMs IV, you'll definitely like V. It keeps most all of the things that were good about IV, and throws away a great deal of what wasn't (it's still a bit too easy, though). Plus it actually feels like Wild ARMs again. That was something that always annoyed me about IV. Without the Wild ARMs title, it could practically pass as any other generic anime-inspired RPG...
Yeah,I agree with you on everything about the story,it's not all that great.
It didn't bother me all that much though. I'm gonna hold off on getting Wild Arms 3 so that I can get Atelier Iris and Atelier Iris 2 while I can still get them from the store.
On an unrelated note,I beat Eve of extinction. I hate it. I will however continue to play the game as I have nothing better to do with my time.

metroid prime ( borrowed from my friend. pretty easy)
twilight princess ( pretty ezy, they should make a master quest like they did for ocarina of time ).
metal arms- ( about 20 hours but they are 20 hours of gaming goodness ).
Inuyasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel... Urk... Don't ask
And, MACH for PSP, which is a good game.
Metal Gear Solid 2.
Eh. I think I understood it a lot more this time through.
Basing all the unlockables on the stupid dog tags is stupid.![]()
As I was walking down the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today.
I wish, I wish he'd go away.
Super C (NES), awesome game![]()
Resident Evil 4, though only the main game. There are also couple of unlockables that are still to beat![]()
I just beat Silverfall (PC) a few minutes ago, now to figure out how to switch difficulty levels.
Grandia, Medievil, and Medievil II.
Grandia was pretty awesome. It has one of the best battle-systems I've seen in an RPG.
Medievil II's ending was ridiculous, since I got all the chalices.
