Well that's...moronic. Why should you be given scholarship money based on being anything besides talented? And how are you supposed to prove that you're gay anyway? Isn't that something that's entirely internal? Or do they stick you in a police lineup with a group of straight guys, and get a team of gay men to point at which one is 'simply FAH-bulous'?

I'm incredibly glad that they weren't actually forced to give an apology. There's absolutely nothing to apologise for. If a black gay scholarship exists, then a white straight one is perfectly acceptable. Actually, I think that if a black gay scholarship exists, a white straight one should exist. Though to be honest, I don't really think either should exist. I don't know who applies to these things, but if I were gay, black, or any number of other minorities (I guess I sort of consider myself asexual...but usually that just gets a 'meh' out of people ), I'd actually be ashamed to put myself forward for such a scholarship. What kind of person actually wants to be acknowledeged solely for their skin colour, gender, or sexual preference? x_X

Anyway, I'll say what I say in every topic about racism, sexism, or any other discriminatory -ism. But, for fear of repeating myself, this time I'll do it by painting the people I don't like as GameFAQs members.

Few people would debate the fact that many minority groups still face a great deal of prejudice in today's world. But this is about as far from a sensible solution as things come. Balancing a see-saw with objects of equal weight on either end doesn't mean that the objects themselves are the same. So why not just remove all the objects, and let the see-saw return to its natural state of equilibrium?

Or, to put it another way, you can't give one person an apple and another a pear and say that it's fair because they both have one piece of fruit. They're two completely different things. And everyone knows pears kick apples' asses anyway.

Er...that's not the sort of see-saw I grew up with. That's more or less just a plank of wood on a pivot. We don't have those ghetto see-saws here. Every see-saw I ever used was spring loaded, and bounced back up if no one was sitting on it, 'til it was straight across.

So er...replace every instance of 'see-saw' in my post with 'Edinburgh see-saw', and you're sorted.

I don't guarantee being correct on where he lives, I'm going purely off memory.

Course, "liars and racists" is pretty accurate about australia as well and we are considered by plenty of people to be something of an extension of the US.
