Downloading on dialup was easier for me. I could just throw everything in a download manager and just forget about it for a few days. Now I have to watch how much I download per hour very closely. Even if I do my calculations correctly, which I do, I still get fucked over sometimes. HughesNet is the ISP that just says fuck off whenever it feels like it. They randomly decrease download caps substantially, and they increase penalty times also.

Perhaps I forgot to mention that the connection was unstable.

Basically you'd only be able to log in if almost nobody in the town was on. Disconnections were had by all.

And one phone line. Automatic failure.
