But one developer said that it could be patched to enable it. Given they have more time, its still a possibility. And like I said before, I doubt it too, just playing devils advocate here.

I respect what you're trying to say here, don't get me wrong. It's just that in the context of the conversation, It's completely irrelevant. The only version Pirates could've played is the one that's widely available, and that version sucks donkey balls in the graphics department.
Could the US version come out different? Sure, but that's neither here nor there.
Which means he goes by his name of being a PirateReal people buy it straight from Taiwan or wherever....sureee

Being pedantic isn't cool.
Hell, I downloaded the fuck out of the thing. Had I bought it, I would've been angry. More so than I already am, that is.![]()
In the case of the PSP, it was, and still is, a piece of shit. I think I'd always regret dropping money for that.
As for the Wii, I waited nearly five months. There were a few games I wanted, and I got them, but beyond that and some VC stuff, there aint much to play now. I think that speaks more to Nintendo's inability to keep the games rolling out than anything else. The same problem that they had with the N64 and GC. My mistake was in thinking that they might have a hold on that nonsense this time out. They've got something big here, at least potentially so, so why would they fuck around this time out?
Really, why are they?![]()

I love the PSP and DS to deathThe last months I haven't even touched the PS2 (save for KOF XI), in favor of PSP/DS games. I've been spending extreme amounts of time on games like Jewel Summoner, Castlevania, Legend of Heroes and Harvest Moon
Xbox 360 hasn't been fun since Dead Rising

Come on man. Don't make it sound like all the blame falls on Nintendo for there being a game drought. Even if Nintendo had already released SSBB, MP3, and SMG, people would still be complaining about the lack of third party games. Sure, you can blame Nintendo for the lack of first party games, but not for the lack of third party games.
Michael Ballack, he scores free-kicks.
He's got black hair, and he's german.
Michael Ballack, trains in paddocks.
in his spare time, HE FARMS HADDOCKS!
Watch me play Super C, guys!!
Who blamed them for the lack of third party games?
Look, if I seem agitated by the situation here, it's because aside from maybe a couple of games, I've found that most third party stuff on the Wii is dreck. Stuff that maybe might be okay if I could buy it for 30 bucks at most, but that isn't worth the fifty that they're asking for them. As such, I feel compelled to stick to Nintendo's stuff, as it's pretty tried-and-true. I know that if I buy a copy of a Nintendo developed game, it's most probably going to be a solid purchase. However, there's not a whole lot out to choose from.
I feel that as the console is Nintendo's own, that they'd be better served by keeping the content streaming out at a reasonable rate so as to make the trickle that is third party support, more importantly decent, worthwile games from said third party developers, more bearable.
It's their responsibility to keep the Wii in gamer's minds, and it's hard to do when the games just aren't there. That's as much the fault of third party developers as it is Nintendo's, but as said, Nintendo should be responsible for picking up the slack when third parties fail to deliver regularly.
I'm not suggesting that they release shit just for the sake of having it out, but that they need to better pace their big releases so as to perpetuate a constant feeling of anticipation between them, which would have the benefit of keeping the Wii fresh in the minds of its users. And I'm not talking about what's going on now, where we're given vague release dates and whatnot, which may or may not occur until several months from now.
Please understand that as an owner of the Wii, this is just my opinion. I love the hell out of the console and play Wii Sports Bowling just about every day. I would like something that justifies it beyond that, and having played the hell out of the other two games I thought were worth buying, I have only Paper Mario to hold me over for who knows how long. IMO, they'd be better served as a company by more constantly feeding gamers compelling software, or barring that, give us something of Goldeneye proportions that keeps gamers glued to the Wii while we wait.
I like the thing, but it's feeling like a hollow sort of like, if you follow. It has the potential to be a wildly awesome console, but now it's just, well, it feels like the gimmick everyone was saying that it would be. That sucks, as I was hugely excited for the thing because of the potential it represented. I know that you suggested we wait for that potential to be realized, but it's awful that we should have to wait say, a year before it's met, potentially longer if the current trend remains a trend for awhile yet.![]()

MS Admits 360 scratches game discs. :O They aren't gonna be replacing anybody's consoles, though. Lol.
As I was walking down the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today.
I wish, I wish he'd go away.
