I definitely enjoy the Wii console and all that, and think that it has the potential to be really great. It's just that the games are slow in coming. After Zelda and Paper Mario, I can't see anything on the horizon that makes me drool in anticipation.![]()
I must admit that I never thought of the PC version as worse-looking or filled with less atmosphere than the Gamecube one, but yeah, when seeing the comparisions there is a difference when it comes to looks, you're right in that.
Feeling the same way.
Dude, I almost shat myself when I first booted up the PC version. Then I did some reading up on the game, and it turns out that the developer of the PC version has a habit of doing really half-assed PC ports of Capcom's games.
It really pissed me off too, because the PC version had the potential to be the best looking version available, and it ended up looking like a slightly worse, higher-resolution version of the PS2 game.![]()

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations confirmed for US. I'm expecting a EU version too, of course. Good news indeed! Just finished Justice For All and I'm itching for some more objections. :O
Yeah. Same here. Though there's at least one DECENT game coming out per month for the next couple months. Next month it's Mario Party 8, then in June it's Pokemon Battle Revolution, and possibly RE4 Wii Edition, as well. Also Mortal Kombat Armageddon in May. Which isn't really a GREAT game, but the new control scheme seems like it may redeem the game's overall clunky fighting system. Also, there's Spider-Man 3, which, despite being a movie game, looks like it may use the Wii's controls very well. And there's also the SD Gundam game that SHOULD be coming out soon, and I've heard some very positive things about the import version. So yeah, while there's nothing AAA quality coming out within the next couple months, it's not all bad either.
I think perhaps people are expecting just a bit too much from the Wii. I mean, it's only been what, 5 months? At least give it a bit longer. Remember, the DS's first YEAR was utter crap, and now look at it. It's outselling every other platform right now, and has a TON of good games. Gotta give 3rd parties time , and all that. While I do agree that Nintendo themselves COULD give us one of the "big 3" (SSBM, Metroid Prime 3, or Super Mario Galaxy) sometime soon, I'd rather the games be delayed and good, than be rushed and bad.
I guess that what I'm trying to say is that there's really a lot of good stuff in development. We've just gotta give it time. Personally, I'm waiting for No More Heroes, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Project H.A.M.M.E.R., Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, and One Piece Unlimited Adventure. Not to mention NiGHTS, Mario & Sonic, Opoona, Dewy's Adventure, and Naruto Clash of Ninja MVZ (yeah, I know, Naruto game...I like them, shut up). And there's also "Project S", which has Suda51 and Hideo Kojima BOTH working on it. There's literally NO WAY IN HELL that game's going to be anything but amazing. Let's just be patient until then and enjoy what we have.

A sequel for Mega Man ZX was also confirmed by Capcom todayIt's going to hit USA in October, if I recall correctly. Named Mega Man ZX Advent.
Yeah, I'm not saying that nothing is coming out, just that the games that are either available now or due out soon don't scream "buy me!", y'know? I may check out Spiderman 3 though, if only for the unique web swinging controls.
That said, I've personally found maybe four games worth buying as of yet. The system has been out since November, right? That's sorta sad, though it's understood that it's not a problem unique to the Wii. I recall that the XBox 360 took awhile before it got any notable games, and that the PS3 still only has maybe two worth buying. It's just that as I love the Wii console, I'd like to have a few more games out now that justify owning it.

Look, I'll tell you what I told Josh. The anticipation of games to come does not justify a consoles existence. I think it's great that there's tons of potentially great stuff forthcoming, but as of yet, I sort of regret buying the Wii when I did. Right now it's a ton of unmet potential and nothing more than that. I shouldn't have to just grin and bear it because some games are coming later this year that might end up being worth buying. As a consumer, it's my right to be a bit disappointed if I feel so inclined.
Also, there's only so far the few worthwhile games can take me before I get bored. Telling me to be patient and enjoy what I have is sort of silly when you consider that.
Yeah, one has but to look at their track record Borman. They released DMC3 and Onimusha 3 in several different regions for the PC, and the problems therein were consistent between all of them in each game. That said, they did release a patch for Onimusha 3 that made the game look marginally better after everyone complained, so there's a chance that they might release one for this game. However, I doubt that there's going to be any significant differences between the different regions out of the box. Expect the US version to look the same, with the possibility of a patch to come.
Also, downloaded or not, that was the final retail version of the game. I don't anticipate any huge changes for the version we eventually get, though I would be pleasantly surprised if there are.
Now onto the pertinent issue here. Who the fuck was talking about the US version? Pirates said that the Wii version of RE4 didn't look as good as the PC version, when the only version available right now looks like shit by comparison. If you're talking about me being disappointed by the version I played, your post is still irrelevant, as the US version didn't factor into the conversation at all. As it stands, the only version that gamers have access to right now is a graphically crippled mess, and my impressions of the game are regarding that version and that one alone.
Thank you for playing.

Was it? Or was it just expected that it would eventually come out, but confirmed just recently?![]()
