Well that's the point. We want them to notice things are a little off, or else all the shit that will hit in a week won't be believable.

Guys, if I may interject, I think you're kinda acting a bit too "obvious", if you know what I mean. Like, take this for example:

The last sentence in that quote just seems awfully unneeded and kinda looks a bit suspicious. I mean hell, I'm the densest person here, I'm sure, and I noticed it. And I noticed it a couple times from Mikey as well, in the Hangout and such. I guess what I'm trying to say is that in your attempts to facilitate the image of an impending conflict between Mikey and Cyber, it kinda seems like you're being a bit *too* obvious that something's up. Like, "overacting" or something. Ya get what I'm saying? I'm trying to explain the best I can, but I'm sick and not really at 100% here...

I do believe that we've made mention of taking conflicts regarding moderation to the Mod Lounge before, so in that regard, this isn't inconsistent with what has gone down in the past. Also, one has but to go into the Mod Lounge and read the brief exchange between Mikey and I last night to see that there's obviously some animosity on his part, so my asking him to take his seeming critique of my decision to the Mod Lounge also falls in line with developing issues between the two of us. It makes what's due to come all the more credible.

Noone has said a thing about this being faker than Pamela Anderson's tits. Noone has said anything even remotely like that. In fact, I've got a few private messages from people congratulating me on my promotion. One of them was from Jackhammer, someone you seem to think believes this is all fake. So yeah, take it easy and let things run their course. I think it's safe to say that we're still on solid ground.

Yeah, I'm gonna need to tone down my posts as well. Polo seems to be picking up on it.

Polo isn't picking up on anything. How many times have members commented that EP is like a Soap Opera? Too many to count. This is just another case of that.

For the love of...jeez. Am I the only one then, who saw that more as an exclamation of surprise than say, a "I know what you guys are up to!" comment? It came across to me as if he were simply surprised that Mikey would say something like that, than anything else.

Really guys, I'm sorta disappointed. It seems that in trying to pull one over on our members, you're letting them pull one over on you, unintentionally though it may be. They're not making comments that belie an incite into what we're doing here. It's just the same old stuff they always post, but you guys are looking into it far too deeply.

In other words, as you're intent on seeing their comments as being those of someone who knows too much, then that's exactly what you'll see.

Lighten up. Paranoia will kill this quicker than anything.

Okay...so, Banned decided to post a screenshot of his ban. Now, when I banned him, I didn't know he'd see that sort of message. So it said: Banned for the sake of the prank! I thought that was just something I/the staff could see, not the user. I could play it off and make it seem as though I typed that, making it seem like it was a joke banning, that I had no intentions of keeping him banned. Either way, I just fucked up, and it might blow everyones or my cover. Or should I talk to Banned privately and let him in on this? If I leave it as is, I'm sure some of the regulars will question that picture. Also, I kind of trust Banned. Not sure why, but I do.

For the time being, I suppose you ought to maybe tell banned exactly what you said here. That it was a joke ban, not meant to be serious. That could definitely be worked into the prank even. I could express distaste with you abusing your status to play a joke.

I'd say we just let the stess build up. We shouldl have another influx of n00bs soon, and we'll be just as annoyed and short with them as we have in the past. But you can say we're still not doing a good enough job on it...or something. This will cause a rift between us all, and we can play on that.
