The VG history is full of great game covers. And others not that great...

For their great artwork, for their conceptual design or simply for being a total disgrace, let's share with everyone our preferences by posting a pic of them and a comment explaining why we liked it.

If the image is too big, please, resize it or post a thumbnail, you can use our own image hosting service.I'll post some of my favs first.

A good example of a great game cover would be the Resident Evil 4 cover (GC & PS2). The PAL version for it is able to summarize what you are gonna find in the game in just one picture, it's great in my opinon:





On the other hand, the NTSC-U version of ICO is simply horrible, it's plain, they risked nothing with it and the artwork isn't good either It's even worse if we compare it with the PAL counterpart. Here are pics for both:

I happen to like the PS2 cover more than the GCN one, though... I like the blue tones...

Both ICO covers are OK... I guess...

One of the worse covers I've seen in a while would belong to Dragonball Z: Budokai 3, which is surprising, because I used to love that game. :\



C'mon. Give me more than SSJ Goku's first in my face.

One of my favorite covers happens to belong to one of my favorite games of all time, Chrono Trigger. Nice artwork also.

Okay, right now I can't think of many game covers, but this one is from my Tops.


I really liked that photo, since it's from one of the best parts of the game.
