    Default Sega CD Question

Can I play imports on an unmodded Sega CD? I have an American model 2 and I'd like to play Japanese games. BTW, they are backups.

I can't say for sure, but the SegaCD lacked any form of copy protection as well as lacking the usual lock-out method for that era (different cartridge forms, for anyone who didn't know) so it should work as long as they're the same format, which they are in the case of US/JAP releases.

I figured it out. You have to use a program to convert the region, then it plays. Thanks anyway.
