No idea, really. I bought the NTSC ones. But considering how far behind we normally are with games, I wouldn't be surprised if we're still waiting.

They're both meant to be awesome, though. ^^; And I really liked both chapters of Persona II on the Playstation, which was a similarly story-driven MegaTen spinoff. So I'm looking forward to finally playing them.

Ah I see. Well I know it's supposed to be released this month, almost simultaneously with Devil Summoner. Don't remember the exact date though...

Yeah I heard that they are supposed to be great. But I also heard that unlike the original Shin/MegaTen games, DDS is supposed to be more of a traditional RPG. And after the different and amazing Nocturne, I'm afraid that I might not be able to enjoy DDS to its fullest.

Well I probably will enjoy it... The whole MegaTen universe is too awesome to hate. But Nocturne was such a fantastic game! I loved very second of it.

Aha. It's nice to know that we're getting most RPGs nowadays, even if it's rather late. I actually bought a PAL copy of Suikoden V a little while back, just because I was happy to see it on store shelves here. I had already finished it, but I got all chirpy when I saw the box and decided to voice my support for PAL Suikoden. ^_~

Gosh, that reminds me that I still need to play Nocturne as well. My PS2 was broken for so long that I'm still so far behind. I played the first two hours or so, and really liked it, but then my PS2 died. Still haven't got around to giving it a go.

But I agree. Anything MegaTen is interesting, if nothing else. Even Maken X on the Dreamcast, while a pretty dodgy game, had some interesting elements.

Reminds me that I need to get Suikoden V.... Guess I'll just buy it later this month, or next, when I get FFXII.

Oh you really should continue playing Nocturne! It's pure sex! It just keeps getting better by the second.

You haven't played Suikoden V yet? =o For shame! Seriously, though, you ought to play it. It's far and away the second best of the series, in my opinion. Which might not sound like all that much...but when the high point of the series is as high as the greatness that is Suikoden II... You can't very well expect V to be the best.

Loading times aside, though, it's a lovely game in all aspects, and one of my favourites on the PS2.

I've meant to buy it for months but just never got around to it... Yeah I've heard it's supposed to be great. Especially from Elmdor.

Suikoden IV was such a letdown... I couldn't even be bothered to finish it when I figured out that I couldn't get all the characters anymore... It's good to know that Konami managed to redeem the series with the fifth chapter.

Just picked up these games up from my friend for 10 bucks:

    Swat 4
    X3- Reunion
    Fallout 1/2
    Wizardry 8
    Deus Ex (finally)
    Dungeon Keeper 2

I'm having trouble getting in to the Fallout series. Any tips on how to play/create a character?
Like something I've uploaded? Give me rep, then. Don't you just love begging?

I'm awaiting Bleach DS 2nd (shipped from Play-Asia on the 14th. Used the slowest shipping though, 5-10 days. Tomorrow will be 6 days, so hopefully it arrives). And Sonic and the Secret Rings is a must get for me. Comes out Wednesday, so I'm definitely getting it then.

Crusher, Eddie, you evil evil bastards!

I've yet to play even ONE of the Shin Megami Tensei games, and here you are, waving them infront of my eyes like a juicy carrot just outta reach...

    I hate your gutses! /gollum-speak

But I also loves you too muches...

Gotta get my hands on both Persona 2 games and Maken X... Eddie! :O! I remember you had a hard time getting your hands on Innocent Sin -- what's up with that?

Ru darling, I urge you to to get your hands on Nocturne. All your past AND future sins will forever be forgiven. If you've played this game, your life will be accomplished and you can die with a smile. Do it for me!

I pre-ordered Command & Conquer 3. Kane Edition of course. You should too!

Also Final Fantasy XII and Sega Mega Drive Collection (PSP).

My advice: Only get Nocturne if you're a masochist who likes punishment. Because you'll get it in Nocturne by the truckload.

Translation: SMT Nocturne is one of the most unforgivingly hard RPG's I've ever played. Ever.

I wouldn't say it's hard. The second Dante encounter is the only really difficult battle, IMO. You just need to have the right abilities.

Sorry. =( But you should play it! It's a nice series that you'd probably like. ^^; And the games generally aren't that rare, comparatively speaking (I think Persona 1 reaches some pretty nasty prices at auction sometimes, though).

Maken X is pretty dodgy, really. Not awful...but not very good at all. It's a serious case of wasted potential, as the central idea is really cool. I don't think it's an official Megaten game anyway. More of a game built around Megaten ethics. With the same artist. Okay, maybe it is more or less a Megaten game.

Persona 1 isn't really so good either. It's also cursed with a hideous translation / Americanisation. Yay for hideous censorship, and redrawing Japanese characters as stereotyped black Americans. (I wish I was kidding. =()

Both Persona 2s are awesome, though. Probably even moreso if you play Innocent Sin first (Eternal Punishment spoils a lot of the story ). Innocent Sin has the more er...strange side of the story, complete with Hitler and the Nazis, a high school teacher who fights with a drill, ambiguously gay schoolboys, and a self-confessed J-Rock star who speaks in Engrish and fights with a machine gun in a guitar case, but... Both are really interesting story-wise, with very appealing sets of characters. And they're really fun too. I ended up running my game timer on Eternal Punishment to something like 70 hours just levelling.

And yeah, I had trouble finding Innocent Sin. =o But then a complete copy showed up one day on emule. ^^; I'd still like to buy both it and Eternal Punishment if I could find them for cheap... I think an Italian translation group are working on a patch for IS (in both Italian and English) just now, actually, which is quite exciting. ^^; Back when I played it, my Japanese was awful, and I basically leant almost entirely upon the translated script.

And I didn't find what I played of Nocturne so bad difficulty-wise. But then I've heard the same thing said of Persona II: EP's difficulty, and I didn't find that too bad either. If Nocturne is anything like that, I'd imagine it's punishingly difficult with the wrong abilities, and fairly easy with the right ones. Which I kind of like. I like games that aren't afraid to slaughter you if you don't take the time to learn to play them well (Vagrant Story! ).
