cool, there's a motion something device being made right now by some homebrew developer for the DS. It plugs into the DS's battery charger slot from what I saw in the video, and actually allows you to control the steering of certain games like Burnout Legends by tilting the DS. Haven't hear anything about it in a couple months though.
Trigger Heart Exelica
Release Date: Feb 22
A vertical shooter based on the NAOMI arcade board title, featuring intense single-player shooting through realtime 3D worlds and AI-adjusted boss challenges. The game is a vertical scrolling shooter that makes use of a three button system -- one button for shooting, one for releasing a bomb, and one for using an "anchor shot." The anchor shot allows you to capture enemies in the air and lock on to enemies on the ground. When you've captured an enemy, you enter "capture mode," and can move it around and release it as a special type of bomb.
Karous
Release Date: Mar 8
Karous - which translates to 'Crow' in English - looks similar to Chaos Field and especially Radilgy, using many of the same gameplay mechanics of both games and featuring some of the cell-shading style used in Radilgy. The game is about a girl born of a union between an angel and a human. She gets firepower by gaining equipments like a sword, shield and guns. The graphics stick to the basics black and white palette of colours to give the game a gothic feel.
Those aren't released yet? I thought production of DC games had stopped years ago.
I finally got that damn mouth area fixed on the head i'm working on, did some tweaking on the jaw bone like I planned today, but didn't get any results that I liked.
Being sick like that really sucks. v__v
On January 31, 2001, Sega announced that production of Dreamcast hardware was to be discontinued by March of that year, although the 50 to 60 titles still in production would be published. The last North American release was NHL 2K2, which was released in February 2002. With the company announcing no plans to develop a next-generation successor to the Dreamcast, this was Sega's last foray into the home console business. By the time Sega decided to cease development of the Dreamcast, about 10 million consoles had been manufactured. While this number may seem impressive, more Dreamcast systems were sitting unsold in warehouses, retail and distribution channels at the time than had actually been sold to the public. Massive price cuts were quickly instituted in order to move the abundence of unsold hardware and the system had quickly dropped to prices as low as 49.99 USD new.
Unfortunately though, in some countries such as the UK, many shops discontinued their Dreamcast range immediately which led to those who owned the console, having great difficulty in finding the latest releases throughout the rest of 2001 (especially when the shelves in question had been filled afterwards with budget PlayStation 1 games).
Though the Dreamcast was officially discontinued in early 2001, commercial games were still developed and released afterwards, particularly in Japan. Many though consider the critically acclaimed arcade shooter Ikaruga, developed by Treasure, to be the Dreamcast's swan song. It was released in September 2002 in Japan only after a large amount of speculation on the game's fate; its U.S. release was on the GameCube in April 2003. Hacked, unreleased games like Propeller Arena and Half-Life continued to become available to the public through warez groups and independent hackers.
On February 24, 2004, Sega released their final Dreamcast game, Puyo Pop Fever. A small number of third-party games are still being released, such as Chaos Field released in December 2004, Trizeal released in April 2005, Rajirugi released in February 2006, Under Defeat released in March 2006, and most recently Radium, Last Hope to be released January 2007, Trigger Heart Exelica to be released February 2007, and Karous to be released March 2007.
The DC is the never dying console.![]()
So, my old Broadband ISP (InsightBB) has now rolled out 10Mbit connections. While tempting at $40/mo, I like the upload speed of my DSL.
One day I might go for it, but....Idunno...I hate InsightBB and their strongarm tactics here for cable TV service. I don't want to fund cable terrorism.
Yeah. I'm funding a fucking huge corp my paying my internet every month. It's scary.
They own TV channels, internet, cable TV (hi-def low-def), cable phone, cellular phones now, shows, tons of other crap. The other company "fighting" is just as big, but their internet access is crap. The cell coverage is better though. They have satellite dishes instead of cable TV (it's DSL co btw), they don't own TV channels but they're the standard phone since ages.
Bell vs Videotron, and Videotron is winning.![]()
