It doesn't matter at all. My birthday this year was more or less a non-event anyway. I've been kind of busy with classes, so...I didn't really have any time to get caught up in such things.

I'm 21 now, though. Somehow I still have trouble believing it.

Ah, to be young again, and to have dreams. I barely remember what that was like, if I ever had them at all. I sorta remember being good at voices as a child, and I've since sorta been intrigued by going into voice acting. Nothing came of that. I loved drawing, and used to do it all the time. Now when I look at other people's work, I feel inadequate, and so nothing's come of that either. I'm sorta funny, but I'm not clever enough to be a comedian, which is something I once wanted to do as well.

Basically, I'd love to be able to do stuff, but I beat myself up too much and end up doing nothing.

You're good at everything, though. x_X You're funny, intelligent, and entirely capable when it comes to most any creative pursuit. I guess it's a matter of picking one thing and giving it your all. But if you have a good grounding in most things, I'd imagine that picking one isn't entirely simple...

Besides, I'm not really one to talk anyway. I do exactly the same thing. I lament not being as good as other people are at certain things, while completely overlooking the fact that I probably could be, given time and practice. That's what I've been trying to think to myself these last few years, with piano, writing, and my various other pursuits. I've just tried to focus on getting better rather than continually comparing myself to others. Though...I'd be lying if I said I didn't still get a little bit disheartened whenever I meet someone who quite simply outclasses me in every way at something that I like.
