    JACKHAMMER! EXPLAIN!

    Er...Part 2? I can't remember it's that long since i've seen it.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_a_Mi...prise_episode)

In Part II, Archer repopulates his ship with the escaped crew of the Enterprise, defeats a rebel alien fleet, and decides to declare himself Emperor, using the Defiant and its advanced technology as his trump card. Several crewmembers, including Archer, don 23rd Century Starfleet uniforms in lieu of wearing their environmental suits from Enterprise. A conspiracy led by various alien members of his crew, including T'Pol, Phlox and Soval, fails to stop him. However, he is incapacitated by his lover Hoshi Sato, and she declares herself Empress upon arriving at Earth. The episode closes on that note, with the final fate of all main characters unknown (many have been threatened with death, and Archer poisoned via champagne, but since their deaths have not been explicitly depicted, it is not known for certain whether they are actually dead, with the exception of Forrest, Soval, and Admiral Black).

Mm, I guess that's true. Though I have a hard time complaining. I'm really a bit of a human doormat when it comes to buying things; I won't complain about something unless it's absolutely, irredeemably broken. It's really not something to be proud of, but I always just feel a bit guilty if I make a big deal out of things.

Essay. I've been pretty good with motivating myself to work this year, but somehow I'm just really not in the right frame of mind tonight. I guess it's okay if I miss one, though.

    Hectic?

Yeah, I have, like, 4 schoolthingies to write until tomorrow, a bigass project that my group has yet to start with and about a bazillion other, similar, things. =/

    Yeah, sounds good. You're studying?

I don't know you, you're not my friend.

    I'm full of good ideas..

No doubt. I'm the same way. I got my Love Hina set with the first disk all scratched up right out of the gate, due to a broken case. I didn't complain. I should've, because it was a bootleg. Then again, I should've expected that it would be, considering I payed a mere 11 bucks for the thing.

It's just that I don't think that you should pay more to assure something that something doesn't happen, when it shouldn't happen at all, no matter what you pay for shipping. It's a case of the Amray cases being cheap, though I guess I can't realistically expect there to be a way to illiminate the problem.

Things aren't bad. I was laid off, and I've been having a bit of trouble finding a new job, but I should theoretically be entitled to enough unemployement pay to be able to pay the rent and bills, so I'm not too worried about it. I also plan to apply for food stamps and utility assitance, so really, if that all comes together, then I can't say that I'm doing bad at all.

How are you? Are you sufficiently fluent in Japanese to teach me yet?

Ouch, unpleasant. I take it you're a fellow student of the 'leave everything to the last minute' school of thought?

Yeah. I've been at college this last year. 'College' being the British version of college, i.e 'School II: The Second Coming'. Basically I made a mess of high school, so...er... I'm sort of resitting a few courses. If I do okay I can go onto University next year.

It's actually been kind of nice, though. After three years spent procrastinating, I find that I'm in a much better frame of mind now than I was in high school. Or maybe it's just that learning Japanese reminded me that I'm a geek at heart, and that I like studying. I dunno. Regardless, everything's going pretty well.

Ah, to be young again, and to have dreams. I barely remember what that was like, if I ever had them at all. I sorta remember being good at voices as a child, and I've since sorta been intrigued by going into voice acting. Nothing came of that. I loved drawing, and used to do it all the time. Now when I look at other people's work, I feel inadequate, and so nothing's come of that either. I'm sorta funny, but I'm not clever enough to be a comedian, which is something I once wanted to do as well.

Basically, I'd love to be able to do stuff, but I beat myself up too much and end up doing nothing.

Oh, Ed, I totally missed your birthday, didn't I? Like, both here and at GHB. How much of an asshole does that make me? Sorry 'bout that. I do hope you had a good one.

Sponging off the government isn't so bad in moderation, though. A while away from the world can do you good in terms of allowing you to gather your thoughts. You mentioned that you were maybe considering art college?

I'm doing good, really. To be honest, I'm much happier than I feel I have any right to be.

    でも残念ですが、私は日本語がま* 然上手じゃありません。
(But unfortunately, my Japanese is still not very good at all. )
