That example doesn't apply to this situation. The passenger was at fault for letting a drunk driver drive him somewhere.

Since when am I responsible for the actions of another person of legal age?

    -or-

When someone dies because you failed to act.

    I don't buy that. Sorry.

Had I been a bystander, I could have jumped out and tossed that old lady out of the way, and took a bumper for her too. If I didn't am I responsible?

If so desired, someone can peel this convo out into a new thread, as this has nothing to do with the current convo.

I can't really tell you why I think you are wrong because it is just an opinion. I just feel that it is wrong to let someone do something that could potentially lead to serious injury or death. I respect your opinion and feel no need to argue for my point of view.

Endorses? Would you care to elaborate on that?

I'm a devout Catholic (not during football season), and I could care less what the pope says about video games or even if the catholic community forbids videogames I need something to pass the time when I'm bored, and to kill alot of people/aliens/zombies/cyborgs/animals/zombie-animals/alien-animals to relieve stress, especially when nothing is in season. But coyotes and rabbits are year round, so with videogames I'll always have something to shoot regardless.

    I'm rambling...Sorry

    Let's not go there now...

Don't believe that one bad apple bullshit.

That's the evil in man and not the catholic community.

So it's slander to suggest that a man associated with that group, even as loosely as he may have been, has made a statement that some may consider ironic? Okay.

The point that I was trying to make though, was that being associated with Hitler, no matter how loosely, is not something that one can just shrug off. It carries with it a stigma, like it or not. A stigma that may make his statements seem a bit ironic to some. That's it.

Really, I wouldn't raise an ass-cheek to fart on the Pope. That is to say, as a person, I don't care about him. His statements seem silly to me, not based on what club he may have been forced to join back in the day, but because they are extreme comments fashioned to catch the attention of mindless sheep who simply don't know any better. And while his message may have merit, in that we shouldn't be letting children get ahold of violent media, where he fails in that message is in calling the games themselves perverse, rather than trying to rally parents the world over to actually be responsible for filtering what their children are exposed to. He's just a higher profile version of every ignorant political asshat to suggest that it's the games that are the problem, rather than the lack of will on the parents part to do their fucking jobs.

So yeah, Hitler club-member or no, he still comes out of this smelling like shit.

    Well they are....

    If you're old fashioned.

Every old person will say that about video games. (Sprung and Jack excluded)

Try going back 50 years and asking people how they felt about maiming and killing people in a simulation. You'd get shunned for sure.
