Has anyone seen this movie and is it based on the alone in the dark games?

i havent seen this one, but it features tara reid and christian slater.. unfortunately its a doof, from the beginning til the end, jus read some reviews at metacritic.com and u'll know why.

It's llok for me an action movie than a horror..It's not even look like the game at all.

The whole advertisment thing, was as not big as other video-game base movies as Resident Evil Apacolyps, I already seen the movie in dvd and I remember it open's in theater, but didn't mind spending money to see it. I had never played any series of ''Alone in the dark'' and as far as how the movie is, I'll say it's ok, because I watch it all the way, most movie that have boreing scene I'll just fall asleep, I think this movie will have a sequal, because of the ending scene, hey who know's.
