Not true I did a topic a few days ago it's about getting a demo disc to boot if you made a copy of it.

well the kiosk disk just works as mormal when burned and played on a 360
    crappy demoes,but it has potential.

    also
there is a control box that the pod/kiosk units are connected to called, a 'medussa' it has dip switches on the bottom and you can set the region and stuff.
    good for imports.

I'm sure M$ will upgrade the firmware in the x-box 360 via live, and new shipments of the 360, so that the Kiosk Disc demo will stop functioning in the 360, sort of like how sony upgrades the firmware in the psp to try and halt emulators, apps, and so on. That's not to say this isn't a break-through, it's just that M$ isn't going to sit back and watch there new system's games be pirated.

I dont know though, it could be nothing, the kiosk demo that is. MS could have intended it to be like that, so that demos could be more easily distrubuted. I doubt it, but you never know.

Distributing burned copies of demo(e)s ain't that big a deal, really... The basic idea is that demo(e)s are given away for free so you can try out a given game before it's out, or something like that... You can't steal something that's free!! Can you...? :O!!

Unless they're full-fledged games, I see nothing wrong widdat...

Are Xbox360 games still on DVD or like the PS3 on blue-ray discs?

The 360 uses DVD9 discs, so ≈9.8. Apparently there are plans for a HD-DVD expansion in the future.

really? i thought maybe the 360 would use some other type of disc that would fit more than 8-9gigs i mean its supposed to compete against the likes of the revo and ps3, and the ps3 will be using blue ray discs, no?

Yup....Sony's PS3 will be using Blu-Ray for sure. Its awesome. Recently, a report released by TDK said they were successful in making a 200 GB Blu-Ray, which is fucking amazing

As expected, the format in question is HD-DVD, the Toshiba-backed rival to Blu-ray Disc, which is supported by Microsoft's archrival in the next-gen console race, the Sony PlayStation 3. (Ironically, Toshiba partnered with Sony to produce the PS3's Cell CPU.)

Also, as one might guess given the fact the 360 has an internal standard DVD drive, the console's HD-DVD drive will be offered as an external peripheral. Microsoft's vice president of worldwide Xbox marketing Peter Moore, who took the stage after a not-so-impromptu 360 Fight Night Round 3 bout between Gates and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, said that the drive would arrive later this year. However, he did not show a final form factor for the drive or name a price point, although stand-alone HD-DVD players are expected to cost in excess of $300.
