    Default Gamecube Xbox PS2

OK guys well i was planning on picking up a gamecube this week but after reviewing the games that are availble for it i decided to hold off on it. Now im thinking about buying a ps2 or an x box(second time for both) But im not to sure which i should get. I like gc because it has games that are well...fun but then again you cant really do much on a cube. no online play no dvd's and emulation. And im not to sure about getting a ps2 because the one i had kept messin up on me but then again you ps2 has the biggest selection of games out of all 3 systems but not all of them are exactly grade a quality. And with the ps2 you get free online play for most games. So for those reasons im leaning more to the ps2 side. As for the xbox..... i seemed to enjoy it more then i did my ps2. I dont know why but i did. The only plus side about the xbox is that the graphics are smoother then the ps2 and the gc. I mean it does have so great exlusive games but they are all pretty much the same thing and another thing i dont like about the cbox is you have to pay for the damn online play. With all that said..guys i need you all to help me pick a system.

Xbox is easiest, with the softmod. Contrary to popular belief, you really have to be a retard to screw it up.

go with the GC if you want the kid games. go with the ps2 if you want just about every type of game but less games with online stuff. go with the xbox if you just want fps games that go online.

Go gamecube if you want games that are still fun, go PS2 if you want to play the same games that youve been playing since the PSone came out with the occasional great game, get Xbox if you want to play some fun games with great Online, while also being easily to play emulators on it.

And sprung, the sad part is, there are a bunch of retarts then heh.

GC has great gameplay and doesn't lag during multiplayer because it has a fast processor. Although, you can't play cd's, dvd's, or have an online adaptor. It's also sleek and small, but can overheat sometimes.

PS2 has a lot of options and accessories to choose from, including I-Toy, DVD player, etc. It also has good gameplay and nice controllers. It has a good fan, but if you get a slimline, it can get warm. Slimline is also very fragile, and doesn't support a HD. Although SL IS easier to mod because you can put in Slimtool or Magickey w/out having to get a seperate fliptop case for the Playstation 2.

Xbox has always been famous for excellent graphics, and Xbox Live supports headset compatability. But the console is big and bulky and can actually catch fire if you leave it plugged in because if it's somewhat flawed power supply. Overall, though, you can still play DVD's and go online.

To top it all off, I think you should get a PS2 because it is a traditional Playstation console that's been loved since '95. Also, it's the only console that offers a slimmer version (besides PSone).

By the same token, people have been loving the Nintendo in the US since Feb. of 1986.

The gamecube doesnt overheat anymore then the PS2 and Xbox O-o Its easily the most solid built system out of all 3 of the current systems (not counting 360 or DC for that matter). And it does have an online adapter, though officially its only supported by PSO, though it can be used in a LAN tunneling program for Mario Kart and 1080 (possibly others too)

The PS2's fan is horrible, though all of the consoles have crappy fans. You should see the connector on the PS2 fan O-o. The Slim PS2 doesnt officially support a HDD, but can be made to. Swap trick is also easier on the original PS2 for me anyway since it doesnt require you to block sensors or any of that crap, just cut up an old card and take off the front DVD faceplate. Some people seem to have difficulties getting the swap parts to stay in the correct position on the PStwo.

There have been one or two cases of the Xbox catching fire. The problem stems from bad soldering on the original Xbox powersupplies. Not even all of them though, only ones with Foxlink powersupplies on version 1.0 consoles. And leaving it plugged in isnt the problem, its constantly removing and plugging it into the console that does it.

Edit: Also, the Genesis had a smaller system revision, as did the SNES, and the NES. You could even consider the nomad a revision of the Genesis if you wanted to.

pirates, you sound like you'd enjoy an XBOX much more than the others, so go with your gut feeling and get one of those...

As for me, I'd likely end up getting a PS2, followed closely by a GCN... Not too big on the XBOX, as I dislike HALO, and... what else is there on the system...?

OK... I kid, I kid... KOTOR comes to mind...

I bought a PS2 and I don't regret it , seriously, I tmade my decision based in the games I want to play, because the "original games" of XBox don't attract me too much, only Project Gotham Racing, apart from that, the list of games I want to play in a PS2, comparing with the few games I like from Xbox make more clear my point.

Did anybody noticed that I did not mention the GC? The only games I like are: SSM: Melee, Resident Evil, (1 and Zero, because I plan to get 4 for the ps2) and a distant third, the Zelda games
