    Default Imported PC games query

I was just trying to fully clarify this to myself about imported PC games.

Do American PC games fully work on European Windows XP PC's regardless of graphics capabilities?

yeah thought so, I just wanted to be 100% sure so I could safely pre-order the Collectors Ed. of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion that i've seen available on importmadness.com
    http://www.importmadness.co.uk/cgi-b..._Number=131934

Reason for that is that i haven't yet seen any word on the ollectors being released on the PC over here just yet, and its the only version i wanna get.

Yeah, it should be fine. I have a couple of American PC games that have worked perfectly on all of my computers. Thank God that PC gamers don't have to put up with all of the region protection nonsense that console owners are plagued by...

...But we have SafeDisc/Securom, and various fun, new copy-protection methods that actually fail to recognize original discs sometimes. Hehe.

Those release dates are all predicted estimates of guesses, so basically they're all bullshit dates.

Licencing is regional, so a game maker can sell his game to a differnet regions distributer. Region protection is just there for that.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

I would really love it if it did come out in Feburary but its most likely an April/May release to coincide with E3.

Region locking is the biggest evil ever to perpetrate the gaming world.

If you shell out for a console then you should be able to play the game of YOUR choice on it . .whether it be from Japan or UmmaGumma Land.

And i don't care what Bill Gates or the rest of the billionaires have to say . . .
