I want to genetically engineer my feet to grow corn and smell like lilacs and roses.

Not the first two sentences, but everything after. It's a classical slippery slope fallacy. Society will not automatically decide, assuming all things become possible, to start selecting for Caucasian children exclusively just because they started treating cystic fibrosis before birth. Just like, for a better example, the use of marijuana does not lead always to the use of harder drugs (the Gateway drug debate - the legalization debates are quite similar). Merely because a relatively smooth continuum exists in the trend of genetic traits from the harmless phenotypical manifestations to the most harmful, doesn't mean that society will still treat all of these equally - in fact, society is quite good at creating arbitrary strictures on smooth continuums, as all such strictures must be. It's kind of like the ID will lead to the Spanish Inquisition in the link to the fallacy description I made (even though that was Snopes, predating ID by a century - I'm modernizing a bit), or its counterpart today, that evolution will lead to moral degeneracy and the decay of human society into a primitive, animalistic state.

Besides the incest, you proposed recoding her specifically to the end of leaving her little to no choice in the matter, which would be bad even without the incest.

It wouldn't matter. She's only in her pre-teen years so she's barely even started life, so it wouldn't matter if I gave her no choice in the matter.

Yes, it would. Freedom of choice is one of the most important things, insofar as it doesn't interfere with the freedom of others. The freedom to genetically turn someone into a nympho solely to sleep with them is an example of a freedom that infringes on another person's freedom to decide whether or not to sleep with you (their right to tell you to fuck off, which somehow seems the probable outcome). The freedom to kill infringes on the victim's freedom to decide whether they live or die. I really need to read some of John Stuart Mill's works sometime, I think...

For that matter, we're not even getting into the incestuous pedophilia immorality issue, here. Or the fact that you're pretty blatantly trolling with these...statements (I don't think I should add an adjective). It's just interesting enough that it's beginning to tie into a greater argument on freedoms and rights.

Whether or not it exists in truth or illusion, it is believed in by most people. As such, the assumption for the sake of this debate should be that it exists, since there isn't really a valid middle ground with a unique set of beliefs stemming from it (as there is in, for instance, the existence of divinity). Free will is...one of my problem areas. My seemingly-facetious question regarding free will in that debate may well be...just silly. Nothing more.

It doesn't really matter what if we do perfect genetic engineering. Because as we better ourselves so does nature. Make a better body, get a better virus.
I can think of anything of worth to put here.

True. I always knew that if we could have any wish ever, I wouldn't make one, because whatever I made better for myself something bad would also happen. But now that I think about it, I would like to fly over the ocean someday, if I could.

Well I was fucking tired that night I played that 'joke'. And it was hilarious to me at the time, but now I'm saying to myself 'I'm such an idiot' But it still was good. Afterall, I have to do things like this, I'm the EP clown. Give me some sperm champagne.

Human Engineering to me just makes another possible way humans will end up wiping themselves out. I think its pretty clear that the end of the world will be delievered by human hands (most likely from the USA)
