Like many internet fads, Domokun is believed to have started on SA, as it's said the "god kills a kitten" picture was originally created and submitted there. Then Fark took it and made it one of their cult icons. There's usually a long time between something being posted online and it becoming famous, like the O RLY owl for example. I remember seeing it at least a year ago.
