    Default Norton Anti Virus problem

I have a problem with Norton Antivirus. I want to uninstall this software for Mcafee but the problem is I need a password to get in in order to uninstall it and I dont have a clue to what the passwod is. Is there a way around this or am I just doomed with this program on my hard drive?

You're in luck! I had this problem before with Norton Corporate 7.6. Two web sites to refer to:

Antivirus programs are always a pain to uninstall. McAfee for example gave me hard times. I removed it in the usual way, but had to clean the regsiter too and still I found some traces of it on my computer

here is an example: McAfee AV got a 2/10 from Maximum PC, and pretty much every other site gives it either a 1/5, 1/10, 2/5, 2/10, and sometimes 3/10 when crack is involved. Also, Nortan never did crap for me, it may find a "virus" here and there but never did anything about it it literally never did delete a virus from my comp. AVG owns! I've also heard great things about NOD32, i plan on trying it out sometime.
