Have used dial up for about 8 years just switched to dsl about 3 monthes ago. I think I downloaded more stuff in the first month than I've ever did in all those years of dial up. Only thing bad about dsl is that sometimes it's faulty and that it costs more but it's worth it. Plus downloading fast is fun.

Right now I'm using the school's LAN. Practically unlimited speed (I've seen 4 MB/s) but in order to not cause trouble with ITS here I limit my traffic to a constant 45 kb/s.
Whenever I'm at home, if I want to use the internet, I take a 30-minute walk to the local library and stay there pretty much all day, usually every three or so days. They have free wi-fi that goes up to around 200 KB/s. If I didn't do that I'd be stuck using AOL, and I have a no-spyware policy for any of my computers (although sometimes I Virtual PC it)

I have Verizon too, but not the Plus package.

According to my modem, I'm getting 1760 KBits/Sec download and 448 KBits/Sec upload.
Which comes to 220 KiloBytes/sec down, and 56 KiloBytes/sec up.

Of course those are theoretical speeds.

Actual speed is more like 180-190 KB/s for down. 42-45 KB/sec up.
Download's fast enough for me, but I wouldn't mind having a faster upload.

At the moment I'm with NTL home. That is thier top package at 34.99 a month. I'd happly have only 1mb down instead of 10mb if it meant having a faster upload speed, say 4/5 mbs.

No, there is no caps. I downloaded 14GB yesterday in a few minutes and uploaded 2.5 GB to the EP upload service threads. I can down/up as much as I want.

You have to understand I feel this is lame because I used to have the use of a T3 connection. Yeah, sorry I'm just a spoiled brat.
